This game is still far from shut down because they haven't merge NA and EU server yet. If I were to actually invest time into grinding and upgrading I just would not have the time to get to reasonable tiers that would make enough difference.įor a new player wanting to play it it's not worth it unless they want the HM coins. Now the gear gap is so big there is literally nothing I can do in these uber-whale matches. Not that this would often be the case but I could do something at least. I'd actually be able to kill the biggest whales and survive. The more geared, skilled and smarter F2P players could even get to 1600 with some luck and a lot of effort. When pvp was still somewhat alive, like a year ago, most F2P players and whales would fight each other in 1300-1500, where they belong. It's fun when it's just mixed alts, whales and dudes like me but I've never had a match like this in ages and I'm not keen on fighting whales so big I can't even dps them down in 8 seconds of kds and stuns. I won't ever be able to compete anymore with uber-whales as F2P player. I also don't see many whales, more often it's a full ultra-whale team vs another full ultra-whale team even if I'm just slightly above 1400 because of how low 6v6 population is. I could do that on kfm or gunner with full pve ss but not on bd. Not all classes can one shot whales with mid-tier gear. I understand there's a difference between a rather low player base (but low enough that the game can still be played) and a dead player base (like to the point the game is going to shut down in the near future). Thanks for any insight that can be provided. If I were to reach that point in the game where partying up is essential, would I have a hard time finding a group? If I were to join Blade & Soul now, would I basically be going through a single player game? I understand that in almost all MMOs, the leveling process is mostly solo and the real multiplayer usually comes at end game with dungeons/raids, etc. Also I hear its extremely P2W and has no dungeons/raids). But the extensive life skills, the exploring, etc. Unfortunately, Wow and FFXIV have combat systems that don't resonate with me (it's too slow for me) and BDO seems a bit complicating (though I do admit, I have not actually tried it yet. I find it really hurts the players, the game, and the community, and for those who are genuinely looking for an exciting MMO that may just scratch the itch for them. I don't understand the need for cancel culture. I'm ready to get bashed/downvotes, but I'm really tired of hearing that almost every MMO that isn't BDO, WoW, or FFXIV being considered "dead".
